 1. The standard I have chosen is "Creating and Collaborating". To me, this is all about working along side AI in order to make projects and make an efficient class environment. Although in my field--music--is not AI friendly, there are some things that could have some use, like coming up with unique assignments or writing concert programs. I am not sure if I would be prepared to use AI in my field just because of the low possibilities of use and my inexperience with it. It just could not be that viable.

2. I decided to go with a music standard because of my background and major. "Design and implement a personal learning plan" is a huge part of being a musician. It is an essential tool for musicians to know how to practice and many students do not know how to do it properly. As a practicing musician who has experience, I can help students through this standard.

3. Internet searching as a teacher is VERY important to do properly. Because it is a teachers job to teach students how to live as an adult and only give them facts, teachers have to fact check all their searches to make sure they are correct. After reading the different skills that can be used in Google searching is the "advanced search" feature. I didn't know that this was something that existed for Google searches, so now I want to experiment with it.

4. Artificial Intelligence, in my opinion, has no business in education. Teachers were making assignments before AI existed, and now students are making reasons to use it in everything. It is making students lives too easy and teachers lives harder.

  1. I understand where you are coming from that AI should not be used in a classroom, however, I do think it can be useful to a certain extent. I think teachers can use it for inspiration if they are having trouble coming up with a lesson idea, but they should not use it word for word. I do think it can help and be a beneficial tool. I agree teachers should be well equipped in internet searching, it is important to have knowledge of how technology works to be able to look things up whenever they need to.

  2. I like that even though you are against using AI in the classroom, you still mention ways it could be incorporated. AI is still emerging and can be difficult to use, but learning how to use it could be beneficial. There are so many ways that it could be used in the classroom. I personally believe that even though education has been successful without AI, it can still lead to improvements in education. However, I do also believe that if AI is used wrong it could be harmful to education.
